On Monday May 4th representatives from the management and employees of Uniteam met with the Minister of Defence at a hearing in the Standing Committee on Scrutiny and Constitutional Affairs. This is the highest official Parliament body where different governmental bodies have to present their case if called upon in Norway. The Committee has questioned the boycott imposed on Uniteam by the MOD and the Minister had to justify their actions to the Committee.

The Ministry of Defence brought charges of economic fraud on Uniteam International AS the spring of 2007. The charges was a result of the Dahlseide report, where the MOD states that they have lost a substantial amount of money on the command post containers purchased from Uniteam in 2003. Comparing the submitted offers, however, it is clear that Uniteam was approx 70% lower in price compared to the next bidder and therefore it is incomprehensible for us that the MOD can claim that they have lost money because of Uniteam.
